It is unsafe and illegal to dispose of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) with regular waste. HHW includes products identified with words such as Toxic, Poison, Flammable, Combustible, Danger, Caution or Warning. HHW items must be taken to the Permanent HHW Collection facility for proper disposal.

- Pesticides
- Propane Cylinders, Tanks
- Solvents

Riverside County operates a permanent HHW collection facility in Palm Springs that accepts limited quantities of HHW.
